Three Pieces of Contact
(Kolme teosta kontaktista)

In choreographer Mirva Mäkinen's Luodos, dance meets the music of Tapani Rinne, a veteran of experimental music, familiar from the group Rinneradio and a visual video art of Kim Saarinen.

Luodos is the weaving of three dancers and musicians about the formation of meanings related to contact and their unfolding. The contact improvisation used as the piece's movement material means a physical dialogue that occurs with two or more people. The movement of the dancers is related to physical laws such as gravity, movement speed and friction, as well as to the sound space created by the musician.
